Annuitant
[definition]
What does Annuitant mean?
Annuitant is:
  • A person who is qualified to receive payments in the form of a pension or some other annuity.

  • A person who contracts a life insurance policy.
Annuitant explained

The person can benefit from fixed annuities, or variable annuities, with the difference that in the first case he/she will receive always the same constant amount, while variable annuities are subject to change but also have a better probability of bringing higher incomes. Usually the benefits of a life insurance contract are forwarded towards the policy holder, after the annuitant is deceased.
