What does Actuary mean?

They are highly qualified professionals who evaluate and calculate probabilities. Holding a position at an insurance company, based on their good knowledge in all fields, and considering factors such as your way of living, your job, your financial well being, and health condition, they will give an estimative on the period you will actually live.

Actuary explained

An actuary can be found working in many fields and based on his vast qualifications and experience his will work on statistics, probabilities and evaluations of situations of all kinds from the work for an insurance agency and up to evaluating situations where tremendous natural disasters are being involved.  An estimation of the likelihood of events in general helps saving on the financial part of it because even if these disasters for example cannot be hindered from happening, certain preventive measures can be absolutely made. Many times important resources can be rescued this way thanks to the valuation skill of a good professional.
